Alicia has a sophisticated and elegant style well suited to emotional ballads. She could have left the explicit language out because it distracted rather than added to the message for me. The album has a variety of tracks with differing genre.

Her third album, Revisionary History, is a piano-driven pop-rock recording whose songs ponder how we constantly revise the stories we tell ourselves about heartbreak, loyalty and finding oneself. Produced by Ben Folds, it is passionate and catchy, underscoring another side of Witt’s talents.

Witt wrote the material during a busy period that found her starring in the TV series Nashville, stealing the spotlight with an appearance on The Walking Dead, and playing shows — including a performance on the Grand Ole Opry — in the wake of her previous album, Revisionary History.
