Iain Armitage (/ ˈ iː ən /; born July 15, 2008) is an American actor. He is best known for his role as Sheldon Cooper in Young Sheldon, a spin-off prequel to The Big Bang Theory, from 2017 to 2024. Another childhood role was Ziggy Chapman in two seasons of the series Big Little Lies from 2017 to 2019.
Iain Armitage is an American child actor who plays Sheldon Cooper on Young Sheldon and Young Shaggy on Scoob!. He also starred in Big Little Lies, The Glass Castle, and Our Souls at Night.
