Andrew Herr is a Canadian actor who portrays Jonesy on Letterkenny. He also appeared as one of the unnamed hockey players in the Letterkenny Problems short "Hockey Players."
Herr grew up in the small town of St. George, Ontario before relocating to Kingston as a teenager. He played two seasons of junior hockey, with the Gananoque Islanders (then EOJHL) 2009–10 and the next season with the Napanee Raiders (then EBJCHL).
Herr participated in a high school production of Never Swim Alone by Daniel MacIvor, a satire about two competitive males locked in a ruthless verbal confrontation. This sparked an interest in acting as a career.
While a student at the University of British Columbia, he met several future Letterkenny actors in a recreational hockey league, including Tyler Johnston, Nathan Dales, and Dylan Playfair, the last of whom he became roommates with (The Kingston Whig-Standard). They would later appear together in the TV movie Mr. Hockey: The Gordie Howe Story, where Herr played Mark Howe. After graduating from UBC, Herr attended VanArts the (Vancouver Institute of Media Arts).
