Loretta Jane Swit (born Loretta Jane Szwed; November 4, 1937) is an American stage and television actress known for her character roles. Swit is best known for her portrayal of Major Margaret "Hot Lips" Houlihan on M*A*S*H, for which she won two Emmy Awards .

Jun 4, 2022 · Loretta Swit, also known as Sally Kellerman, who played the role of an army major in the popular T.V. series ‘MASH,’ died on Thursday at 84. Her son, Jack Krane, told The Hollywood Reporter that Kellerman died at a Woodland Hills nursing home following a battle with dementia.
