After the breakdown of his first marriage in Britain, Holme-Sumner resigned his commission in the British Army and moved to California where he changed his name to Pat Somerset and became a motion-picture actor, and eventually, a Charter Member and officer of the Screen Actors Guild.
Stage and Film Actor. Appeared in 86 motion pictures from 1918-1940, including Dancing Lady, Anna Karenina, Libeled Lady and Parnell. Notoriously remembered for being named as co-respondent in the divorce suit by fellow actor Richard 'Skeets' Gallagher against his first wife, Irene Martin.
