A Story of Water follows a female protagonist (Caroline Dim) as she tries to make her way to Paris during flood conditions. Along the way, she meets a young man with a car (Jean-Claude Brialy), and the two drive, walk, and sail about the provincial countryside, searching for a route to the City of Lights.
