Bachelor Father is an American sitcom starring John Forsythe, Noreen Corcoran and Sammee Tong. The series first premiered on CBS in September 1957 before moving to NBC for the third season in 1959. The series' fifth and final season aired on ABC. A total of 157 episodes were aired.
In The Bachelor Father, C. Aubrey Smith re-creates his stage role as an aging British philanderer who decides to look up the three children he fathered out of wedlock. Davies plays his American heir, a high-spirited girl who dreams of following in Amelia Earhart's footsteps and piloting a trans-Atlantic flight.
The wealthy Sir Basil Winterton (C. Aubrey Smith) is growing lonesome in his old age, so he sends a detective to find his three long-estranged, illegitimate children.
