  6. As a remake it doesn't match-up to Carole Lombard's True Confession (1937), but Betty Hutton is a fantastic blond in Cross My Heart (1946). They shift things over to a light musical, so she could sing a few songs. She was great at that. And while it's a simpler take on a that true classic, I still had a good time with this.
