It was a sequel to the 1944 film Detective Kitty O'Day. [1] The two films were an attempt to create a new detective series but no further films were made.
Synopsis. When Kitty O'Day, the nosy switchboard operator at the Townley Hotel, hears gunshots while taking an in-house call from Mr. Williams, the hotel's owner, she sends her boyfriend, travel agent Johnny Jones, to investigate. Johnny and Jeff, the night porter, go to Williams' apartment in the hotel and discover his slain body.
