West Niagara Secondary School will be running a 5 period day. Students will have 4 classes and a multi-subject instructional period (MSIP) on their timetable. The purpose of an MSIP is to provide time for silent work, group work, catching up, working on projects or getting extra help in subjects of need.

The school offers a boys' and girls' soccer team with practices following the March Break. Each team of up to 20 players play a 6-8 game season that runs through May. Uniforms are provided for players.

Mar 9, 2022 · Starting in September 2022, students from GSS and BDSS will be enrolled as students in West Niagara Secondary School: Students will attend the GSS location for all regular classes and programming. The facilities at BDSS will be used for specialty courses and programs.

Mar 6, 2023 · Riley Zulauf is ready to move on to university but a part of him wishes construction of the new campus for West Niagara Secondary School hadn’t been delayed. The Grade 12 student said many of his classmates feel the same way.
