The 66th Academy Awards ceremony, organized by the Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences (AMPAS), honored films released in 1993 and took place on March 21, 1994, at the Dorothy Chandler Pavilion in Los Angeles beginning at 6:00 p.m. PST / 9:00 p.m. EST.
Best Picture: Unforgiven U nforgiven also won Academy Awards for Best Supporting Actor (Gene Hackman), Directing (Clint Eastwood), and Film Editing (Joel Cox). Clint Eastwood was the fourth actor in Oscar history to win an Academy Award for directing a movie in which he also starred.
