Oct 26, 2022 · Glebe Collegiate Institute welcomed its first students in 1922 and formally opened in 1923. Originally, the school was built to support the student population at the Ottawa Collegiate Institute, now Lisgar Collegiate. As the student body continued to grow, Glebe became a separate school in 1931.
Jun 10, 2022 · This September marks the 100th anniversary of Glebe Collegiate Institute (GCI). The school has been home to more than 40,000 students and 3,000 teachers since it first opened in September 1922. It is a fixture of the Glebe community.
