- Why Gordonstoun
Gordonstoun School is a co-educational independent school for boarding and day pupils in Moray, Scotland. It is named after the 150-acre (60-hectare) estate owned by Sir Robert Gordon in the 17th century; the school now uses this estate as its campus.
Gordonstoun is one of the leading full boarding schools in the UK. Our buildings are set within a safe and beautiful 200 acre wooded campus, within walking distance of the expansive beaches of the Moray Firth, and within easy reach of the stunning Scottish Highlands.
Gordonstoun is one of the UK’s last remaining full boarding schools, co-educational for 4 ½-18 years olds and dedicated to delivering an ethos which stretches, challenges, nurtures and develops every child in our care, so that they grow into all that they can be. Come and see for yourself!
Gordonstoun was founded in 1934 by the German Educationalist Dr Kurt Hahn. Our forward-thinking school has a fascinating past and heritage. Discover more here.
