John Fahy, M.D. is a longstanding supporter of SABRE research and a formal faculty member in the SABRE Center for the past 6 years. He is a physician scientist with a primary appointment in the Division of Pulmonary and Critical Care Medicine (Department of Medicine and CVRI).
I am a Professor of Medicine in the Division of Pulmonary and Critical Care Medicine and the Department of Medicine at UCSF. I direct a research program in asthma and other airway diseases that is human centered and focused on uncovering disease mechanisms and improving treatment.
John Fahy MD, MSc. Dr. Fahy received in his M.D. degree from University College Dublin, Ireland in 1985. After internal medicine training in Dublin, he started a Pulmonary and Critical Care fellowship at UCSF in 1989 and did his research training in Dr Homer Boushey's laboratory.
