Simon Birks is a U.K.-based actor, producer, screenplay writer, comic book creator and author. In addition he, in partnership with Marielle Bouleau, founded Blue Fox Comics, an independent small press based in Linlithgow, Scotland, which was initially created to publish Birks's work. Due to the company's success, it has branched out to encompass the works of other authors and comic book creators, and has published dozens of works via successful Kickstarter campaigns .
Birks has adapted a number of H. P. Lovecraft’s stories into a comic book format, including "The Thing on the Doorstep" and "The Shadow Over Innsmouth", has written a sequel to At the Mountains of Madness in the same format, and was the creator of the Fighting Fantasy-style gamebook Innsmouth: The Stolen Child.
