Saint Bonaventure ; canonized April 14, 1482; feast day July 15) was a leading medieval theologian, minister general of the Franciscan order, and cardinal bishop of Albano. He wrote several works on the spiritual life and recodified the constitution of his order (1260).
We are a parish in the Roman Catholic Diocese of Calgary and are located in the southeast community of Lake Bonavista. For close to 50 years our parish has been a place where people are welcomed and can feel at home in the presence of Jesus Christ.

Jul 14, 2023 · On July 15, the Church celebrates the Memorial of St. Bonaventure, who is one of my absolute favorite saints and theologians. I would like to reflect on my personal background with St. Bonaventure as well as offer some information about his life, work, and influence.
