There is a reason why it's called the Sunset Beach. The view is gorgeous during dusk. The yellow lights of sunset and silhouette of landscape are nice to watch.
This is a popular, small beach close to downtown but there are better sunset views if you walk a little further. English Bay beach is good too (right across from the laughing men statues). Further up, on the seawall, is a bench on a jut-out that offers great sunset views plus views of North Van and Bowen Island.
