Admiral was killed in February 7, 1920. Anna Timireva spent most of her life in prisons and camps. She died in 1975. As she said she had been with Admiral only for two years. But she never stopped loving him even after his death.
Admiral is a historical fiction film set in Russia during the time of the 1917 revolution. The plot centers on Admiral Kolchak, a WWI war hero and naval commander who played an important role in the February Revolution and the ensuing Russian Civil War.
The Admiral of the title is Alexander Kolchak ( Night Watch 's Konstantin Khabensky), a vice-admiral who after the fall of the Russian monarchy got it right up the Bolsheviks during the Revolution. We meet him as he's putting on a display of extreme bravery in the Black Sea, when his ship comes under fire from the Germans in 1916.
