Alan K. Campbell (February 21, 1904 – June 14, 1963) was an American writer, stage actor, and screenwriter. He and his wife, Dorothy Parker, were a popular screenwriting team in Hollywood from 1934 to 1963.
In 1932, Parker met Alan Campbell, an actor hoping to become a screenwriter. They married two years later in Raton, New Mexico . Campbell's mixed parentage was the reverse of Parker's: he had a German-Jewish mother and a Scottish father.

Jun 8, 2023 · Allan K. Campbell was an American writer, actor, and screenwriter. He and his wife, Dorothy Parker, were a popular screenwriting team in Hollywood from 1934 to 1963. Born in Richmond, Virginia, he was the only child of Harry L. Campbell and Hortense Eichel Campbell.
He was married for twenty-seven years altogether to Dorothy Parker, who was eleven years his senior. Theirs was an extremely tempestuous relationship - they divorced in 1947 and remarried three years later - and Parker often accused him (sometimes in public) of being a homosexual.
