Ari Posner (born 1970) is a Canadian film and television composer, most noted as a multiple Gemini Award and Canadian Screen Award winner for his television scores. A native of Winnipeg, Manitoba, he moved to Toronto, Ontario, in 1989 to study music at York University. He is a frequent collaborator with composer Amin Bhatia.
Aug 5, 2020 · A fixture in Canadian screen, Posner scored CSA nominations for X Company and the critically acclaimed series Flashpoint. Feature films include Borealis, All the Wrong Reasons, and the romantic comedy My Awkward Sexual Adventure. Alongside colleague Ian Lefeuvre, Posner spent five years scoring the hit children’s animated series Johnny Test.
Now, he is one of Canada’s most respected and prolific screen composers. In collaboration with Amin Bhatia, he has scored award winning hit shows such as Anne with an E, Flashpoint, and X Company, and with Ian Lefeuvre shows including Carter, Johnny Test, and Supernoobs.

For the following six years, Ari played piano in a wedding band, as well as providing musical accompaniment for ballet and modern dance classes. It was also at that time, when he was in his early twenties, that Ari met Stacey Hersh, a Toronto composer.
