Bootsie and Snudge. 1960 - United Kingdom. Finally demobbed from The Army Game, Private 'Excused Boots' Bisley and his bullying Sergeant, Claude Snudge, return to civvy life where they find employment in a Pall Mall gentleman's club called The Imperial.
This series was a spin-off from 'The Army Game' (now available on DVD, and probably worth checking out, although my infant memories of it may be unreliable), featuring its two favourite characters, Bootsie (Bisley) and Snudge - now working in a posh club in London.
Former National Serviceman ‘Excused Boots’ Bisley was now a handyman and his bullying former sergeant Snudge the pompous doorman/Hall Porter at The Imperial, an old-fashioned club on Pall Mall in London.
Bootsie and Snudge is a British sitcom that aired on ITV for three series from 1960 to 1963, with a fourth in 1974. The show is a spin-off of The Army Game, a sitcom about soldiers undertaking national service, and follows two of the main characters (played by Alfie Bass and Bill Fraser) after they returned to civilian life.
