  4. Apr 13, 2024 · I believe my shark fin antenna has gone bad, as XM claims the signal is blocked and I can't even hear channel one, even if I'm in an open parking lot. I have a 2014 Silverado 1500, so Onstar is no longer compatible due to it being 3G. The actual antenna replacement is roughly $90, with the 2 plugs.

  7. Nov 24, 2017 · You'll need to replace it (part number should be GT4Z-18936-ACPTM). You can see where you snapped the mounting stud/bracket off the antenna (it's still sticking out from your roof). You'll need to drop the headliner to remove the old/broken bracket and then install the new antenna.
