May 13, 2015 · What Jacobs did, less than 10 years into his career as an artist, was to execute a version of the Iroquois creation myth in stone in a way that has had a ripple of consequences for Iroquois cultural identity—an identity that carries on in a parallel, largely family-centered world in Upstate New York, Eastern Ontario, and Southern Quebec.
