The Osborn School District #8 is an elementary school district in Phoenix, Arizona. The first teacher of the district, G. W. VanDerzen, received a teaching certificate in 1879. The district considers 1879 as its year of establishment. The first school building, Osborn School #1, opened in 1887.
Founded in 1879, Osborn has become one of the most trusted School Districts in Arizona as it serves families from all across Maricopa County. Osborn has four elementary schools, one middle school, one community school, and most recently, an online school called Osborn iSchool.
My passion for ensuring that all children experience success every day and in every classroom is shaped by my 17 years in education. It is my mission to help every child feel welcome, connected and a part of our Encanto family.

Welcome! My name is Kristy Osborn. This is my 22nd year of teaching first grade at Ferderbar. Prior to this, I taught fourth grade at Oliver Heckman. I have also worked as a learning support assistant and a substitute teacher. I received my Bachelor's degree from West Chester University and my Master's degree from Holy Family University.
