This movie begins as the story of a young woman in need of a bone marrow donor. It gradually evolves into the story of a woman (excellently played by Patty Duke) who needs to come clean about her past. The script is well written, so the audience really won't see the twist coming.
Knowing that her daughter will die without a bone marrow transplant, a mother is forced to face up to her past mistakes and find the child she gave up years before in hopes of finding a donor match.
