Lara "Mace" Macy was an NCIS Special Agent and a former Major in the Military Police who for a time served as the Agent in Charge of the Office of Special Projects up until her departure from the OSP division and subsequent murder which occurred in May 2010.
Pre-Series
In 1991 she was a green military police Investigator who investigated Special Agent Gibbs for the murder of Pedro Hernandez, the man who killed his wife Shannon and 8-year-old daughter Kelly Gibbs. She did not hold back in her investigation and Gibbs was shown in episode Legend (Part 1) (episode) and Legend (Part 2) (episode) to hold resentment towards her after how he was treated. After she had gathered all the evidence she ultimately decided to close the case once she discovered why Gibbs did what he did, and thought it was a just killing. Gibbs had no idea she had protected him and buried the evidence until Nate Getz told him at the end of Legend (Part 2).
NCIS Season 6
She is present in the two part finale of NCIS season 6 Legend (Part 1) (episode) and Legend (Part 2) (episode). These to episode is a backend into what would later form the beginning of NCIS: Los Angeles. The last few moments of the episode Legend (Part 2) shows Special Agent G.
