Hitchin (/ ˈ h ɪ tʃ ɪ n /) is a market town in the North Hertfordshire district of Hertfordshire, England. The town dates from at least the 7th century . It lies in the valley of the River Hiz at the north-eastern end of the Chiltern Hills .

May 1, 2023 · In the north of Hertfordshire at the foothills of the Chilterns, Hitchin is a cute market town with a Medieval layout. Market Place, where corn was traded for centuries, is very pretty, as are the old cobblestone streets that radiate from it.
