Montreuil (French pronunciation: [mɔ̃tʁœj] ⓘ), also known unofficially as Montreuil-sous-Bois (pronounced [mɔ̃tʁœj su bwa]), is a commune in the eastern suburbs of Paris, France. It is located 6.6 km (4.1 mi) from the centre of Paris, in the Seine-Saint-Denis department and in the Métropole du Grand Paris.
Montreuil is a small town to the west of the Pas-de-Calais department of northern France. The town is also known as Montreuil-sur-Mer, despite being 12 kilometres from the sea. During the medieval period it was a very important port for the Calais region.
Montreuil [m ɔ̃. t ʁ œ j] [1], également appelé Montreuil-sous-Bois jusqu'au 12 juillet 1951 [2], est une commune française située dans le département de la Seine-Saint-Denis dans la Métropole du Grand Paris, en région Île-de-France.

- Château de Vincennes. A burly medieval presence in the Vincennes district to the south, this castle hoves into view at 52 metres. When it was completed in the 1300s the keep was the tallest fortified building in Europe and was the seat of French Royal power before Versailles.
- Murs à Pêches. Between the 1600 and 1900s a third of Montreuil’s area was decked with orchards and patches that supplied Paris with fresh fruit. Not only that, these plantations helped cultivate new varieties of peaches, cherries and strawberries.
- Bois de Vincennes. You may be shocked by the sheer size of this park just south of the Montreuil district. This is the largest park in Paris, making up one tenth of the city’s total area.
Montreuil, town, Seine-Saint-Denis département, Île-de-France région. It is an eastern industrial suburb of Paris situated on a plateau 400 feet (120 metres) high. Located 1 mile (1.6 km) from the city limits of the capital, it is connected to Paris by the Métro (subway).
