Jan 23, 2023 · Murten is one of those places that visitors to Switzerland unfortunately often miss. It is a historic walled-city oozing with charm and is also located right on the shores of Lake Murten in the Fribourg region.
The little mediaeval town of Murten on the south-eastern shore of the lake of the same name has preserved its original appearance, with the picturesque lanes and alleys of the Old Town and the pleasant shady arcades.
