Seil (/ ˈ s iː l /; Scottish Gaelic: Saoil, Scottish Gaelic pronunciation:) is one of the Slate Islands, located on the east side of the Firth of Lorn, 7 miles (11 kilometres) southwest of Oban, in Scotland. Seil has been linked to the mainland by bridge since the late 18th century.
The Isle of Seil lies some 12 miles south of Oban. Seil is separated from the mainland only by the thinnest of sea channels which is spanned by the elegant 18th century humpback Clachan Bridge, popularly known as the 'Bridge over the Atlantic'.

Seil is an island connected by bridge to the mainland of Argyll on the west coast of Scotland. It has limited accommodation and is usually visited as a day trip from Oban 12 mi (19 km) north. Seil is the closest to shore of the Slate Islands, all formerly quarried for that product, and in 2011 had a population of 551.
