Mar 16, 2017 · Igor Zektser was the first hydrogeologist who assessed groundwater discharge into lakes Issyk-Kul and Balhash, and SGD into the Caspian Sea (Dzhamalov et al. 1977; Zektser et al. 1984; Zektser 1996, 2001). The latter was calculated by means of the hydrodynamic method using groundwater level/piezometric head observations in about 4,000 wells located in the coastal area.
