  2. Apply for PMQs and Ubique SQs (via the barrack warden). Stay in the shacks until you got something. The SQs are supposed to be for one person but nobody cares if you live two people in them, and they are fully furnished and have storage space (and nice place, at least they used to be).

Definitely look on the market to see what's available and be ready to rent/buy because getting a PMQ is pretty much a coin toss. If you don't have dependants you will literally never get a PMQ.
