Pacific Motion Pictures, Ltd. is a production company dedicated to the elevation of cinematic arts, empowering filmmakers, advancing the film industry, and sharing meaningful stories from the United States and Japan.
History. Formerly Pacific Western Productions, the company was founded by producer Gale Anne Hurd in 1982, and it was folded into Valhalla Motion Pictures in 2000. In 1988, Gale Anne Hurd launched a label No Frills Film, devoted to producing lower budget and independent films, usually with the nature of B-movie.

The first motion pictures flickered to life in Thomas Alva Edison’s New Jersey laboratory in the early 1890s. Within two decades, movie theaters had sprouted across North America and Europe (with much of the rest of the world soon to follow), their seats packed daily with audiences consuming melodramas, comedies, newsreels, and animation.
