Scotch College is the oldest surviving secondary school in Victoria. Its foundation was due to the initiative of James Forbes, of the Free Presbyterian Church, who had arrived in 1838 as the first settled Christian minister in what became the colony of Victoria in 1851.
Scotch College is an independent boys’ day school for students from Prep to Year 12. Boarding is available from Year 7 to Year 12. The School’s constitution requires the College to provide for its students:
