The Clopper Day-Use Area contains many scenic areas, including the 90-acre Clopper Lake, surrounded by forests and fields. The state park is easy to find off of I-270 and it costs $3 per person for MD residents. We parked over near the dam by Kingfisher parking lot where we picked up the lake shore trail. The trail meanders around the lake through old growth forest with some massive oak trees.
