Archbishop Hoban High School is a Catholic college-preparatory school in Akron, Ohio. It is sponsored by the Catholic religious order Brothers of Holy Cross.
CURRENT STUDENTS. At Hoban, our Holy Cross tradition emphasizes the development of hearts and minds. Students are encouraged to focus on a rigorous academic curriculum while fostering a development of their faith, leadership skills, conscience and devotion to service.
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations can be directed to Archbishop Hoban High School through the Office of Advancement. Memorial names are current through 12/31/23 and are updated biannually. Please notify us of a death within the Hoban community.
May 7, 2019 · Todd Sweda, a high school president who has served Catholic education for almost 30 years, is the new superintendent for archdiocesan high schools in St. Louis. Sweda, currently president of Archbishop Hoban High School, Akron, Ohio, will assume his new duties in July.
