Charles Humphrey Keating III (nicknamed C3; born August 20, 1955) is an American former competitive swimmer and real estate executive. He represented the United States in swimming at the 1976 Summer Olympics in Montreal, Quebec.
The Olympian's son, Charles Keating, IV, was a cross-country runner at Indiana University, who left school after 3 years to become a US Navy SEAL. Keating served as a US Navy SEAL until he was killed in combat with ISIS in Iraq in April 2016.
