I developed an interest in molecular biology and genetics while pursuing my undergraduate degree here at the University of Guelph. During my Ph.D. training at the University of Toronto under the supervision of Dr. Daniel Dumont, my research focused on the understanding of signal transduction pathways required for blood vessel formation.
Aug 14, 2022 · Welcome to our Cell Signalling Lab. Research in our laboratory is focused on defining eukaryotic signal transduction pathways, and investigating how mutations in components of these pathways can contribute to human diseases such as kidney disease and cancer.
Dr. Nina Jones. Professor. Department of Molecular and Cellular Biology. University of Guelph. Canada Research Chair.
Expert in Cardiovascular development, Cell migration pathways, Neuronal adaptor protein and Signalling pathways in kidney podocytes.
Cellular Signalling, Prof. Nina Jones is mapping the connections between these proteins and looking at their roles in biology, including how they relate to disease.
Dr. Nina Jones and Dr. Georgina Cox named Canada Research Chairs and Dr. Michael Tymko receives Discovery Grant.
