Sep 22, 2005 · "Roll Bounce" is not a great film, but it does a good job of doing exactly what it intends: Showing a summer in the lives of ordinary teenagers and their parents, and remembering the roller disco craze that preceded hip hop. It's based on fact.
As a coming of age story, the movie focuses on the ways a family copes with the recent death of the mother. Father-son tensions eventually lead to a fight, where son smashes his dad's car with a crowbar, and then tearful reconciliation.

Roll bounce is a good movie but the story line could have been a little more thought out. The acting was very well done. The actors who where chosen for the parts were great.
