The Vancouver Maritime Museum is a maritime museum devoted to presenting the maritime history of Vancouver, British Columbia, Canada, and the Canadian Arctic. Opened in 1959 [1] as a Vancouver centennial project, it is located within Vanier Park just west of False Creek on the Vancouver waterfront. [2]
Provide overall management and supervision to the museum staff, set performance goals and objectives, and encourage staff’s creativity and professional development. Oversee, advise, and guide staff in programming, venue operations, finance, development, and marketing and communications.
The Vancouver Maritime Museum is responsible for collecting, documenting, preserving, exhibiting and interpreting the maritime history of the Lower Mainland region of British Columbia. The Museum was constructed in 1958 as a project for British Columbia's centennial year, opening in 1960.
