Brentwood is a city in Contra Costa County, California, United States. It is located in the East Bay region of the San Francisco Bay Area. The population is 66,854 as of 2022, an increase of 287% from 23,302 at the 2000 census. Brentwood was settled by Euro-Americans in the late 19th century.
Brentwood is a suburban neighborhood in the Westside region of Los Angeles . History. General. Modern development began after the establishment of the 600-acre (2.4 km 2) Pacific Branch of the National Home for Disabled Soldiers and Sailors in the 1880s. A small community sprang up outside that facility's west gate, taking on the name Westgate.
