The English curriculum at Hove Park School is designed around promoting enjoyment of the written and spoken word, and empowering students to become life-long readers. We aim to ignite and foster a passion for reading that will open up new knowledge, experiences and viewpoints for all students.
The school is located over two sites in Hove: The Valley campus educates pupils aged 11 to 13 and 17-19 (academic years 7, 8 and sixth form), while the Nevill campus educates pupils aged 14 to 19 (academic years 9, 10 and 11). The school offers GCSEs, NVQs and A Levels.
At Hove Park we are fully committed to ensuring that every student has the opportunity to study subjects that will give them the greatest possible range of choices in the future. Our Curriculum Our curriculum has been planned and developed to provide a whole education for all students.
The curriculum prepares pupils well for life in a culturally diverse Britain. The student council speaks confidently about overcoming sexism, racism, homophobia and transphobia. The school’s ‘Every Child Should’ strategy supports the development of the whole child, beyond the formal curriculum.
