Nemours (French: ⓘ) is a commune in the Seine-et-Marne department in the Île-de-France region in north-central France.
The small town of Nemours is pleasantly situated on the banks of the Loing river and famed for its medieval castle. The Château de Nemours was built in the 12th century and remodelled in the 15th and 17th centuries and consists of a keep flanked by four corner towers and a tall watchtower.
