Lt. Col W.G. (Billy) Barker, VC Airport or Dauphin Airport, formerly the Dauphin Regional Airport, is located 3 miles south of Dauphin. It is named after the top Canadian fighter ace in WW I, the late Dauphin resident William George Barker.

The City of Dauphin provides treated water from a state-of-the-art, Class IV water treatment plant. It is designed for a population of 11,000 and has a production capacity of 8.8 megalitres per day. Water is treated through flocculation, ozonation, disinfection and sedimentation.
