It's a bizarre mix of the smartest people in our society and the dumbest, mostly the latter. So it's not really worth reading unless you already know the person who wrote the piece.
The soundtrack was sparse but excellent. The first murder in the prison was intense, and the assassination in the second half was thrilling and had me on the edge of my seat. Watching this street urchin evolve into a criminal prodigy in prison was tremendous. I am watching it again tonight!
Extremely strong suggestion for Leon Weseltier’s new quarterly Liberties. It’s fantastic. It’s like reading a bizarro world version of The Atlantic or the New Republic from circa 1998 but about contemporary politics, culture, and arts.
