Aug 3, 2024 · 15. Boat trip on the backwaters. A fun thing to do near Kochi is to spend some time in the Kerala backwaters, the network of lagoons and canals that run south of Kochi. We enjoyed a night on one of the houseboats that take guests around the area of Vembanad Lake as well as a night at one of the lakeside hotels.
