James Peter Maxwell Dornan ( / ˈdʒeɪmi ˈdɔːrnən /; born 1 May 1982) is an actor, model, and musician from Northern Ireland. The recipient of two Irish Film and Television Awards, he has been nominated for a BAFTA Television Award and a Golden Globe Award.

Northern Irish actor Jamie Dornan initially began his career as a model. He made his screen debut in 2006 with Sofia Coppola's drama film Marie Antoinette playing Count Axel Fersen. As he still continued modelling in that decade, he had infrequent appearances in independent and short films mostly with small roles.
