Savages (2012) is a thriller that does have a number of implausibilities in the plot but the great cast, wonderful cinematography and the fantastic soundtrack manages to hold it up. It also has scenes of a sexual nature, torture, drug abuse, as well as other graphic violence and strong language, so it won't appeal to everyone.
