May 2, 2022 · MANY people get 4.0s (which tops a 3.9 any day) and even higher test scores and still don’t get into the Ivy Leagues. The question is… WHAT MAKES THIS PERSON STAND OUT? If GPA (especially a 3.9 when there are 4.0s being turned down) and test scores is all you have, that doesn’t say much, actually.
