Our District. Sooke School District has approximately 13,250 students and serves the communities of Sooke, Port Renfrew, Metchosin, Highlands, Langford and Colwood. Surrounded by forests, ocean, mountains and lakes, we are located a short distance from Victoria, the capital city of the province of British Columbia.
Sooke School District acknowledges the traditional territories of the Coast Salish: T’Sou-ke Nation and Sc'ianew Nation and Nuu-chah-nulth: Pacheedaht Nation. We also recognize that some of our schools reside on the traditional territory of the Esquimalt Nation and Songhees Nation.
